In the 2013 InZone Think Piece, Barbara Moser-Mercer argues that drawing on field interpreters’ experience and developing interpreting skills can equip larger numbers of interpreters working in conflict zones with important cognitive and life skills, many of which have been recognized as 21st century skills or transversal skills, thereby potentially contributing to reaching MDGs and to the Post-2015 education objectives.
